Our marbella people interview today is with Sarah Allibone.

So Sarah, What do you do for a living?

I have my own business organizing events for singles in Spain.

What made you move to the Costa del Sol?

I had previously been living in Barcelona for 7 years and felt like a change so decided to head here, partly for the warmer weather and also because I wanted to expand my business to the Costa del Sol.

Tell us your greatest business or personal accomplishment?

My biggest personal accomplishment has been starting my business and watching it grow.

Why would you recommend the Costa del Sol for business and Lifestyle?

The lifestyle is very laid back here and of course the weather is good almost all year round. Business is difficult in all parts of Spain right now and unemployment is very high here, but I think if you have a good idea and the drive to succeed then this can be a great place to achieve that.

If you could change one thing about Spain, what would it be?

The long working day. Spain really needs to bring their working hours in line with the rest of Europe if it is going to address it’s poor work productivity level.

What is your favourite Restaurant and Why?

I haven’t been to many here yet but so far it would be the Fondue Lounge in Elviria for their delicious steak and chips!

What is the last film you saw at the Cinema or DVD?

Argo – A great film!

What advice would you give to someone moving to Spain?

Definitely to learn to speak Spanish.
