Charity Book Signing and Wine Tasting 4th June 2010

On behalf of ADEC, I would like to invite you to a wine tasting event with a difference. We have persuaded Robert Tenison, the author of Deadly Secrets to present his book.

Deadly Secrets is an exciting new crime thriller of bribery, corruption, money laundering and murder set in Andalucia. Why not come along and meet the author and have the opportunity of finding out the background to the book. Robert Tenison (the author) will be signing copies of his book and donating a percentage of sales to ADEC.

In addition Richard Bell-Young of Anglo Wines will be offering a selection of wines for tasting. There will be a raffle, with some amazing prizes . All proceeds from the evening will go to ADEC. (Association de Ayuda a Enfermos de Cancer en sus Casas).

This exciting event will take place at Anglo Wines in Pueblo Nuevo on Friday 4th June at 7.30 pm.

Please come and join us for an interesting evening and support ADEC at the same time.

In advance of the evening the ADEC committee would like to thank Robert Tenison for his support and Richard Bell-Young for his on-going support of ADEC.

If you need any further information, please call Luciana O’Brien on 956 695 743.

Irish Club Marbella Open Invitation 25th Novemebr 2009

irish-club-marbellaBecome a member of IRISH CLUB MARBELLA!

For some time now we have observed amongst the settled and transient members of the local community an unease regarding things social.

This particularly manifested itself in the lack of excuses presented for a night out with good banter and old fashioned craic and a bit of slagging (not for the Yanks).

To that end Finola and I and a few friends have decided to constitute a new social club here in the Marbella area.

The main objectives shall be;

- Social
- Social
- Social

It is proposed to hold the first meeting of Irish Club Marbella on the 25th Nov in Becketts
restaurant Marbella at 8pm sharp, or as sharp as you can, but not too late, otherwise you might be elected to a position.

The new constitution will be presented, all 1/2 page for approval of the members. Your solicitor should also be present to approve this very important document.

If you have anyone remotely associated with Ireland, even if they flew over Dublin
on the way to USA this qualifies; bring them along with their Irish grandmother’s birth certificate.

IrishClubMarbella E-mail addresses are available for any member that would like to use one for social communication, better than, hotmail, gmail, snailmail, popemail, pidgeonmail, etc, all very impersonal.

Let me know what password you would like and I’ll sent the settings, it’ll look like this; MyName@IrishClubMarbella.com

Menus* and details of interest will follow.

RSVP by Monday 23 November at 12pm to Finola@IrishClubMarbella.com / Ph +34 607 340523

For this inaugural (Barack Obama eat you heart out) meeting/celebration Marc Quinlan of Becketts along with U2 have laid on a forgettable (it’ll be the drink, what meeting) occasion.

The stipend for the night for a three course meal, choice of 7 with each, with1/2 bottle of wine,(its measure by the sommelier so no cheating) is €30 to be paid on arrival at the door vouched for by the local parish priest assisted by the rabbi.

If you feel like more, which I’m sure most will, the top class house wine is €18.

Hope to see you all on the night.
Signed: Jimmy Nolan; Jimmy@IrishClubMarbella.com
Position: President for Life (Like Ida Amin)
