The Hotel Puente Romano Tennis Club in Marbella will host the inaugural Marbella Masters Tennis scheduled from September 17-19, with some of the world best tennis legends.

This sporting extravaganza of Marbella Masters is expected to attract some 15,000 fans to a contest that will feature the likes of Martina Hingis, Mansour Bahrami, Jeremy Bates, Sergi Bruguera, Richard Krajicek, Pat Cash, Younes El Aynaoui, and Mikael Pernfors.

Hotel Puente Romano is situated right in the heart of Marbella’s Golden Mile, famous for villas and significant estate developments. This well-developed residential district between Marbella and Puerto Banus is about half-an-hour drive from Malaga International Airport.

In the recent past, the Club has already played host to many famous people, players and few noteworthy tennis events, including the 1988 Davis Cup Qualifying Match between Spain and Mexico and the WTA Andalucía Tennis Experience (since 2009).

Martina Hingis to play at Marbella Masters

Former Wimbledon champion, winner of five Grand Slam singles titles and nine Grand Slam women’s doubles titles, Martina Hingis has confirmed her participation in the event. Her vast experience and popularity in the circuit will certainly bring excitement among tennis fans.

Starting from 25^th July to 1^st August, Marbella Town Hall is going to host the thirteenth edition of International BMW Paddle Cup. The sporting event will be held at the Club de Padel Nueva Alcántara.

Nueva Alcantara Padel and Tennis Club with 11 paddle courts will bring its entire infrastructure into play to ensure a successful tournament.

Moreover, looking at the popularity of paddle tennis in Spain, this is going to catch the attention of sporting enthusiasts in Marbella and the entire Costa del Sol region.

Are you interested in soccer or beach volleyball or gymnastics or capoeira? Do you just want be a part of an innovative sport loaded with lots of fun and entertainment? Well, the Bossaball returns to Spain for its fifth edition!

The ongoing Bossaball tournament in Marbella, scheduled from the 16th of July to 15^th August, brings enjoyable activities in an atmosphere of amusement at the Playa de la Bajadilla.

Both locals and tourists in Marbella have got a nice chance to play bossaball for free, each afternoon between 5 and 9 pm, on the beach in Marbella, Costa del Sol, in Southern Spain.

This project has been set up in collaboration with the city council of Marbella. Those interested can register for free on the beach itself, and repeating its success of previous editions; it is expected to draw large crowds in a chic and tourist friendly city like Marbella.

The municipal Sports Delegation of Marbella has made an announcement for an upcoming charity golf tournament on Saturday, June 19^th at the Guadalmina Golf Course.

The III Torneo de Golf will benefit the Volunteers Association of Children’s Oncology (or AVOI- Asociacion de Voluntarios de Oncologia Infantil).

The Sports councillor, Angel Mora, accompanied by the president of AVOI, Juan Carmona, and the director of the Club de Golf Guadalmina, Ignacio del Cuvillom has encouraged all fans of the sport to participate in this tournament as a gesture of solidarity for this cause.

Real Club de Golf Guadalmina will arrange all facilities for the participants and the spectators, just the same way as it last played the tournament supporting ASPANDEM on start of this month.

The tournament, which begins at 8 am, will keep the registration open until the last hour before its start. Prices vary for members and non-members of the Club: 40 euros/couple members, 80 euros for those who are not part of the Club, and 20 euros for the golf cart.

This Saturday (June 5), the Marbella Town Hall, through the municipal delegation of Sports is going to hold the Estrellitas Football Tournament 2010 at the Soccer City Stadium Marbella and in the Polideportivo Antonio Serrano Lima sports complex.

The tournament will feature the participation of all the teams belonging to the Local League Soccer 7 Base. A total of 55 teams divided into four different categories: Kid (Peque): 6 years and younger, Estrellita: 7 years, Benjamines: 8 and 9 years, Alevines: 10 and 11 years will take part.

All facilities have been placed at the Marbella Municipal Soccer Stadium and the Serrano Lima Sports Complex. The championship will begin at 10:00 am with the first phase and from the 17.00 hours with the second.

The Delivery of trophies Football League 7 Base will be made before the start of the tournament, at approximately 0930 hours.
