Superbowl are running monthly “Pro Am” evenings during the summer months, any novice or non-bowler can ask an experienced club member to be their partner in this innovative event. The event comprises four short games against different pairs followed by a BBQ and music.

The May event was fully subscribed with the maximum of twelve pairs, eleven of which had a player who had never played before.

Judging by the amount of laughter around the green we can safely assume that everyone had a good time and a number of the new bowlers expressed an interest in attending the club for coaching.

The Club is delighted with the potential shown by many of the new players and especially by the fact that nearly all were well under retirement age.

Club owner Jamie Ali presented the prizes to the eventual winners Shirley Owen and first time bowler Peter Barnett after an exciting play off.

The next event will be on the evening of Wednesday 15th June.
