‘Ayuda a Domicilio’ or Home Help course in Marbella

The Marbella City Council through the delegation of Social Welfare has launched a course named “Ayuda a domicilio” (or Help at Home) to foster vocations professional concerns among young educated people in the Costa del Sol town.

Municipal delegate and councilman of Social Welfare, Manuel Cardenas, while opening the course at the Social Centre Polivalente of Nueva Andalucía emphasized on the Home help service course which aims to provide qualified personnel, at home, with a set of actions to facilitate the daily lives of people in difficulties.

This is the second such socio-occupational courses for teenagers that the City Council is expected to develop along this spring and has the participation of a dozen young people from the Nueva Andalucía. Individual and families who are not able to meet their personal and social needs of their own half can take service of trained personnel.

Through this new course, participants will learn that the home help assistant is the professional responsible for attending the user with problem of dependence in the residence in contribution with his family thereby contributing to improve their quality of life.

Social and personal welfare courses by the local authority are in fact a part of the commitment (Año Social 2010 or Social year 2010) in promotion for greater personal autonomy and quality of life.

The municipal body has been continuously investing in training purposes, and encouraging greater and more active participation of citizens, agencies and social organizations in the areas of town.
