The Poligono Gallery in Marbella will be presenting their latest exhibition – 29 de Febrero – Lo Que Existe Sin Ser Visto – from the 1st of October until the 15th of December.
29 de Febrero – Lo Que Existe Sin Ser Visto:
Artists exhibiting include: Medina Galeote (left), Negroariel, Lola Guerrera, Gloria Martin, Cristóbal Quintero, Marcel Bohumil, Javier Martin, Elphomega, Itziar Paradís, Ed Zumba, Ramón David Morales, Marina Vargas, Manuel León, Javier Calleja, Fernando Clemente, Silvia Cosio, Juan del Junco..
The exhibition is a reflection on the new emerging Spanish art throughout the eyes of 21 artists with a notable presence of Andalusian contemporary art. The exhibition has been curated by Fer Frances, an emerging curator from the same generation as most of the artists from the exhibition.
Among the selected artists it is possible to observe different and complimentary art trends, coexisting painting, photography, sculpture, installation art or graffiti. This variety is a reflection of the current eclecticism present not only in Spain but also in the international contemporary art scene. A territory shared by pop art, expressionism, surrealism, realism, conceptual art, and all the expressions that have a much closer call to social and political commitment and, therefore, public art.
Some of the artists have already exhibited in major museums and galleries internationally. Others are still in the early steps of their careers, having already won nominations and awards in competitions for young artists.
