Movie Screening: ‘Destino Woodstock’ and ‘Agora’

Coming Monday, May 24, the Cine Club Bunuel, Marbella, films the original version of the movie Destino: Woodstock (in English – Taking Woodstock) at scheduled time of 20:00 and 22:15 hours.  The repeat screening of the movie can be caught at Plaza de la Libertad, San Pedro Alcántara, on the next day at 21:00 hours.

The movie directed by the Academy Award Winner director Ang Lee, and starring Demetri Martin, Dan Fogler, and Jonathan Groff, is inspired by the true story of Elliot Tiber (Demetri Martin) and his family. It reflects light on the making of the famed Woodstock Music and Arts Festival.

On May 26, another movie Agora (dubbed version) will be screened by the Cine-Club Bunuel at the Marbella Instituto Rio Verde at 20:00 and 22:15 hours which will also continue on Thursday. The same movie will also be featured on Friday (May 28) at Ctro. Cultural. Plaza de la Libertad, San Pedro Alcántara.

Directed by Alejandro Amenabar, Agora is a Spanish historical drama film revolves around Hypatia of Alexandria played by Oscar winning actress Rachel Weisz and the socio-political unrest in the city she lives in. Max Minghella (as Davus) and Oscar Isaac (as governor Orestes) play two other prominent characters in the film.
