The Natural Geometry Exhibition is taking place until December 8th in the Exhibition Room at the Central Village in Selwo Aventura, Estepona.
About The Natural Geometry Exhibition:
The exhibition, showing the direct relationship between nature and mathematics, is made up of 45 images which are positioned around the Park’s Exhibition Room. Each photo is designed to be a lesson in Geometry in order to appreciate colour and shape that are intertwined into a variety of exciting and surprising arrangements.
The artists are a group of teachers that have combined mathematics with nature. The teachers, Elia Añón, José Luis Belmonte, Amparo Fuentes, Inmaculada Gutiérrez, Olga Martín, Leopoldo Martínez, Lucía Morales and Pilar Moreno show how Natural Geometry is made up of animals, plants, leaves, flowers, seeds, water, landscapes and natural phenomena and the direct relationship between beautiful symmetry; patterns carved by wind or water, the heart-shaped curve on paper or on the face of an owl etc.
By walking around this exhibition you will gain a different way of viewing mathematics and seeing its presence within nature in its purist state. The exhibition embodies the famous phrase The mathematical rules of the universe make themselves visible to man in the shape of beauty.
The exhibition also features the award-winning images of the VI Marathon of Mathematical Photography of Leganés by: Teresa Montes, Héctor Egido, Sandra Domínguez, Miguel Hernández, Alba Romero.
