Our marbella people interview today is with Peter Goulding. Peter is a skilled Graphic Designer and runs his own Graphic design Studio called Studio 54. He is based in Marbella and like everyone else loves the climate but warns that if you are thinking to move to the Costa del Sol, then dont put all your eggs into one basket.
So Peter, What do you do for a living?
I’m a Graphic Designer and I run a Design Studio called “Studio 54, Media and Design”
What made you move to the Costa del Sol?
I suppose the climate, its location by the sea, a new culture, and the short distance from Ireland made it very attractive.
Tell us your greatest business or personal accomplishment?
Being part of the management team that obtained P.L.C status for a publishing company.
Why would you recommend the Costa del Sol for business and Lifestyle?
Certainly for lifestyle it has a lot to offer, the quality of life here is probably one of the best in Europe. Living is very much outdoors, the way it should be. Great climate, good mix of nationalities, safe, located on the mediterranean, great cuisine and much more…
If you could change one thing about Spain, what would it be?
I can’t say for the rest of Spain but certainly sometimes on the Costa del Sol, professionalism is lacking when conducting business.

What is your favourite Restaurant and Why?
Dinner – “Zoi Zoi”, its not like I’m eating there every week but when we do go, its very enjoyable, the ambiance, the service, the food, all 5 star.
Lunch – The “Italian kitchen” in Marbella, no frills, just good Italian food.
What is the last film you saw at the Cinema or DVD?
Cinema – “Inception”
DVD – “The Ghost Writer”
What advice would you give to someone moving to Spain?
Don’t move lock, stock and barrel, try it out for 6 months, get a feel for what living in Spain is like and then make a decision then.
