A Classical Concert excursion in the St. Michael´s Cave in Gibraltar is taking place on May 4th. Organised by the travel agency VIA Reisen and in collaboration with the Mijas Town Hall, the classical concert will be performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Culture bus trip will take you to Gibraltar where you will experience a musical delight in an extraordinary location! Performances will include a variety of Spanish works including opera, operetta and musical songs.
At an altitude of almost 300 meters above sea level, St. Michael´s Cave is one of the most impressive natural European grottos. The cave was originally believed to have no floor, giving rise to the legend that Africa and Gibraltar were connected by an underground passage.
Many concerts are given in the upper, cathedral-like cave, primarily because of its wonderful acoustics and very special atmosphere.
Founded in 1998, the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society is a non-profit organisation and consists of professional artists and musicians who organise performances in various locations such as the St. Michael´s Cave.
Price per person is 85 euros.

St. Michael´s Cave Excursion Program:
5:15pm – 7:15pm: Arrival in Gibraltar
7:15pm – Shuttle transfer to the cave (departure from Ince´s Hall, Main Street)
8:30pm – 10:30pm: Concert in St. Michael´s Cave
Afterwards: Shuttle transfer back from the cave
11:30pm: Departure for destination Marbella
