Talk Radio Europe is organizing its annual telethon in aid of the local charity, Cudeca Cancer Hospice, taking place on Friday 10th December and will feature a multitude of guest appearances on the microphone.
The Telethon radio auction, which has run for a number of years, has in the last 4 years alone been instrumental in raising over €200,000 to support Cudeca .
The Telethon radio auction, which runs from 10am to 9pm on the day, has TRE presenters playing music, chatting to visitors and introducing guest artists whilst, at the same time, interacting with the radio listeners who phone in with comments and bids and then finally auctioning items to the highest bidders.
The telethon has enjoyed great success in the past with items donated such as a meal prepared by Anthony Worrall Thompson, a jacket worn by Elton John, dinner with Peter Stringfellow at his club and rounds of golf at the exclusive La Zagaleta Golf Club.

26th November – Live Bidding Starts

* Online Bidding Commences – 10am
8th December – Batch Times Created
* Sale times (batches) added to website
* All Items have a “batch time” indicating the hour when the item will be sold live on the radio
9th December – Live Bidding Starts
* All Items available
* Online Bidding Commences – 10am
10th December – Telethon Radio Show
* 10:00 Phone-in bidding commences on-air on a batch-by-batch basis
* Live Telethon auction show with music, guest visitors, live interviews and news from your favourite TRE presenters
* 21:00 Live show ends
11th December – Unsold items back on website
* 00:00 to 24:00 unsold items available for final bidding
* 24:00 web bidding finally ends
13th December – Items available for collection
* Morning of 13th December Auction Items to be relocated to appropriate collection point
* 1300 items available for collection at TRE studio or Cudeca Hospice receptions
