Explosive New Chapter to Phoenix, Policing the Shadows

FRONTCOVER_POLICING-THE-SHADOWS_WITH-BONUS-CHAPTERExplosive New chapter to Phoenix, Policing the Shadows Kindle E book released on anniversary of the RAF’s worst peace time aircraft accident.

The chapter reveals a shocking and hitherto unpublished narrative, and poses questions that the establishment is unable or unwilling to answer – mainly: Did high-ranking RAF decisions, or the lack of them, contribute to the deaths not only of the 29 killed on the Mull of Kintyre in 1994, but also to more than 30 other deaths in separate incidents? This new final chapter clearly demonstrates that the airworthiness system for military aircraft has been allowed to develop fatal systemic flaws.

Marbella resident, Dr Susan Phoenix has teamed up with senior aviation engineers and other operational aviation experts to expose miscarriages of justice that, among other things, allowed the Mull families to suffer unnecessarily for 17 years.

She added this bonus chapter to her husband’s life story, a controversial bestseller from 1996. The chapter illustrates the link between economic waste, poor leadership and the airworthiness failings that allowed her husband and his high ranking colleagues to be flown in a military Chinook that had never achieved the necessary airworthiness standards that would have allowed it to fly safely on that fateful day June 2nd 1994.

Susan Phoenix’s suspicions had been aroused, a year ago, when the Secretary of State for Defence, Dr Liam Fox, said in the House of Commons “the Air Marshals are honourable men!” He had just cleared the names of the pilots who had been condemned by those same Air Marshals for the previous 17 years. Indeed, those same senior officers continued to blame the pilots, even after the Defence Secretary’s statement.

Their arrogance on various media programmes was worryingly left unchallenged -Was the public announcement scheduled to be over powered by the phone hacking scandal breaking in the news on the same day?

Read the facts in this chapter – a final epitaph to the life story of a man who had been dedicated to truth and honesty in a career devoted to bringing peace to Northern Ireland. Susan Phoenix and her eminent supporters are hoping to see similar truth and honesty applied in the Government Departments that continue to send our young men and women to war. : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Phoenix-Policing-Shadows-Chapter-ebook/dp/B008D25142/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1340227888&sr=1-3

She suggests that 2012, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Year, is the time for a whole new era of loyalty, honesty and accountability by government and the military hierarchy to ensure an adequate duty of care for all our armed services, both in peace and in war.

Interviews available with Dr Phoenix and the technical specialists, many of whom were not previously allowed to be interviewed whilst employed by the MoD.
