Well, after all media speculations on Barack Obama’s holiday trip to Spain in August, the White House on Monday only confirms that it’s not The President but the US First Lady Michelle Obama and one of her two daughters who will take a summer break in Marbella.

Now it’s clear that President Barack Obama and his elder daughter Malia, 12, will not be making the holiday trip. Mrs. Obama and her younger daughter Sasha, 9, will make a private holiday in the Costa del Sol resort town of Marbella.

There is no such confirmation from the White House on the schedule of this private trip, but it might be in the first week of August (Aug 4-8). It has also been reported that they have chosen to stay at the luxury resort Villa Padierna near to  Marbella during their summer vacation.

Surrounded by the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean, golf and spa resort, Villa Padierna in Marbella regularly plays host to high profile international personalities and celebrities with its luxurious accommodation and relaxing natural settings.

The White House official has also informed that Mrs. Obama will pay an official visit to Spain’s King Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia. But, as it is only a private tour, all activities of Mrs. Obama will be closed to the media.
