Costa del Sol resort town Marbella, famed for luxury, nature and culture, is going to host the Tapas Fair called “Marbella de Tapas” from Thursday, August 5 to Sunday, August 8, involving 12 catering establishments.

Held on the street Avenida del Mar, this is an annual competition to find the best tapa dish. For all tourists, this is also an opportunity to learn a lot about Spanish tapas and what kind of tapa dishes they usually eat.

The initiative, which is in its third year, is intended to spread the wealth and variety of Andalusia cuisine, especially the traditional tapas of Marbella. Marbella Tapas Fair is now emerging as one of the best fairs in the world of gastronomy of the Costa del Sol.

So, get your taste buds ready for this amazing four-day gastronomic journey where master chefs like Dani Garcia (restaurant Calima), Celia Jiménez, Santiago Domínguez, Charo Carmona, among others will take their cooking tips to the streets.

They are also invited as judges for this year’s Marbella Tapas Fair (Marbella de Tapas) to choose the best catering establishment in two categories: ‘Tapa Popular’ (based on products and recipes of popular and / or traditional Mediterranean diet) and ‘Tapa Innovadora’ (free elaboration in the ingredients as in the techniques of making of the same).
