The government sponsored “Marbella Crea 2010” campaign is working in the promotion and dissemination of works of emerging young artists residing in the Marbella region. Organized and managed by the Delegation of Youth, Marbella Town Hall has been constantly trying to create new avenues through various talent hunts and cultural activities.
This new initiative is articulated through a set of cultural and artistic samples containing thirty disciplines of art, ranging from painting to fashion, with strong support for the use of new technologies that manifest themselves as essential tools in the daily lives of young people.
Major artistic disciplines include: photography, literature, gastronomy, visual arts, fashion, MarbePop, Cast, Comic, Performing Arts, Videoart etc. Jury of the various samples will comprise persons of recognized professional standing, intellectual, cultural and artistic city.
Juries for each discipline shall be appointed by the Delegation of Youth Affairs and chaired by the Hon. Mrs. Mayor or Councilor of Youth and their decision will be final. The exhibition and contest seek to accommodate works that are original, innovative and neither published nor previously awarded.
Marbella Crea welcomes participation of people aged between 15 and 35 years who at least meet one of the following requirements.
– Being born in Marbella or Malaga Province
– Living in Marbella or Province
– Be enrolled in a Marbella Education Centre or the Province in the 2009/2010 school year
For the verification of such requirements, the candidate should have his/her national identity card, photocopy of passport (if not a native resident), and certification copy from the school or college.
Interested participants must submit the registration form duly completed, together with the photocopies of each above stated documents, including any resident proof and certificate of employment or studies.
