The Marbella Area Film and Culture Delegation (El Área de Cine de la delegación de Cultura) working in coordination of the Department of Film has announced to organize a screening of the 1988 American documentary film “Let’s Get Lost” as 2010 winter season special movie.
It is scheduled to be screened at two venues: first at the Instituto Río Verde situated at Calle Notario Luis Oliver on Monday (February 22), and then at the Centro Cultural de San Pedro Alcantara, situated near the Freedom Square on February 23.
The movie “Let’s Get Lost” written and directed by Bruce Weber is a look at the life and work of jazz trumpeter Chet Baker. His fame, his genius, his music, his clashes with the law and drug problems do not escape this jam session in pictures, a picture formed also with the views of people close to the great musician.
Truly, it’s a masterpiece by internationally renowned photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber, as hypnotic as the songs of Baker. Many even considered it as one of the best movies ever made about a musician.
