Information for immigrants in Marbella

The Costa del Sol resort town Marbella has been a great winter sun destination that attracts tourists from all over the world. In the last few years, more and more holidaymakers are making Marbella their second home for its soothing climate, endless sandy beaches and warm Mediterranean water.

Marbella also hosts a good number of summer crowds and the previous boom in real-estate industry has further made it quite easy with plenty of low cost accommodation. With 27km long coastline and 24 spotless beaches to chose from, it is undoubtedly one of the must visit travel points in mainland Europe.

Looking at the growing number of immigrants and the high number of tourists, the Delegation of Social Welfare, Marbella City Council, has started an initiative on immigration, to facilitate access to information and providing a faster and more personalised attention.

The objective of the special municipal delegation is to inform migrants about legal matters, rights and duties, subsidies, grants that may apply in the area of Social Welfare or other agencies. Yes, the primary goal is to make a continuous approach to make immigrants, whether documented or undocumented, to feel a part of the municipality.
