Laura Stanbridge, the Group Managing Director of CCG, has been nominated by CADE, the Junta de Andalucia’s agency to promote business and investment in Andalucia, Unicaja and the Malaga Chamber of Commerce, for the Costa del Sol Business Awards.

This prestigious Costa Del Sol Awards recognises Laura’s effort in promoting Andalucian business, and particularly the integration of foreign nationals in the Spanish business community. With constant effort in last few years, she has been successfully drawn foreign investment to the region.

Her success in organising a high profile campaign in NY last March which included meetings with key US business and consumer media; meetings with government officials and the NY Chamber of Commerce; Marbella’s logo and film viewed throughout the day in Times Square; and the Mayor of Marbella closing the NY stock exchange, NASDAQ, speaks volumes.

The campaign resulted in millions of euros worth of publicity from Television, print and online coverage both in the US, Spain and elsewhere. Furthermore, it undoubtedly contributed to Mrs. Obama’s interest in visiting the region in August. Laura also oversaw the International press activities during the Obama visit on behalf of the City of Marbella.

III Costa del Sol Business Awards

The III Costa del Sol Business Awards will be held on Thursday, 21st October at Hotel Los Monteros. The award event is a part of the Foreign Resident Business Day which serves as the meeting point for all people aiming to start doing business in Andalusia or for existing business people to expand their activities.

Looking at the number of foreign residents living in Marbella, it has been a strategic target of the Regional Government, Junta de Andalucia, to encourage foreign residents to further their business activities, creating more companies, which are larger and stronger, more innovative, better connected and integrated in the region.

Certainly, the foreign community is very important to the Costa del Sol due to its size, diversity, length of time that it has been here and of course, because of its business investments. The Costa del Sol Business Awards asserts the same.
