The 5th edition of essential magazine’s Marbella Awards in association with Talk Radio Europe is currently underway. Members of the public have been voting in large numbers for their favourites in 13 categories including, dining, hotels, golf clubs and schools in an effort to recognise and reward those companies that strive to enhance our lives and make Marbella a special place to be.
The aim of the Marbella Awards is to bring attention to these exceptional businesses and to give them the recognition they have worked hard for. Winners will be awarded with a one-of-a-kind award statue and a People’s Choice seal that represents a mark of distinction, acknowledged by the Marbella community.
This year, for the first time ever, the voting process is being conducted exclusively online at www.essentialmagazine.com/home/marbella-awards and all participants will be entered into a draw to win a variety of exciting prizes.
Marbella Awards Presentation Gala With Caprice
With just few days left before the close of voting, the nominated companies eagerly await the results which will be announced for the first time at the Essential Marbella Awards Ceremony, taking place at the Hotel Puente Romano in Marbella on Saturday 20th November from 8pm.
The evening itself includes a full reception, three course Gala dinner, followed by the Awards Ceremony hosted by celebrity model Caprice, performances by Yanela Brooks, Stephen Lloyd-Morgan and Julie-Anne hunter plus a live concert with 70s cover band Shameless.
Marbella Awards & Charity Cause
The aim of the event is also to raise much needed funds for the Cuidad de los Niños orphanage in Malaga which is a residence and school for children who have been rescued by the local authority from terrible circumstances. There are more than 50 residents aged between 2 and 18 living in the Home run by Brother Juan.
In addition, the Home provides a safe haven offering food, clothing, warmth and schooling to a further 100 children brought in on a daily basis from the nearby poverty-stricken neighborhood. This vital lifeline dramatically improves children’s lives and gives them hope for the future.
