Our Marbella People Interview today is with Jock from English Mobile Mechanics. Jock runs busy Marbella garage, English Mobile Mechanics. He, his team and his clients are about to become the subjects of a new fly on the wall TV series focusing on the everyday life of a working garage on the Costa Del Sol.

How long have you lived and worked in Spain?

Jock: 17 – 18 years

Why did you choose Marbella?

Jock: I wanted a new life, my mother lived here and I´d spent a lot of holidays here. Marbella was always somewhere where I had a good time.

Tell us your greatest business or personal accomplishment

Jock: Being a single parent

Would you recommend the Costa del Sol for business and lifestyle?

Jock: Absolutely, there are opportunities for anyone to do anything here

If you could change one thing about Spain what would it be?

Jock: The extreme heat in August

What is your favourite restaurant in Marbella

Jock: There are two, Mona Lisa’s in Puerto Banus… they are so friendly, and the Thai Pan for its excellent food!

What is the last film you saw at the Cinema or DVD?

Jock: I don´t have time to get to the cinema very much, but I managed to catch Flight of the Phoenix on DVD recently which was great, long but good!

What advice would you give someone moving to Spain?

Jock: Make sure you’ve got a game plan before you come and do some research

Name one other business you would recommend on the Costa del Sol and why?

Jock: Silver Wolf, they are a transportation company and have been transporting tools and parts for me from the UK and back for the past 14 years. They always provide an excellent service.
