Our Marbella People Interview today is with Justin Parks – Web Design and Sales. Justin works as a Sales Manager for 123 Marbella Web Design and has been living in Spain for a little over 5 years now after coming to Marbella on what was initially a summer holiday.
How long have you lived in Spain and how long is your business established?
Justin Parks: 123 Marbella has been established in Marbella doing web design and providing web services now for approximately 6 years.
I have been on the coast 5 years and with the company for 3 or 4 years in total.
Why did you choose Marbella?
Justin Parks: I didn’t! I came here with and on a friend’s suggestion. We were initially coming for an indefinite summer period and it has turned into a definitely longer than expected indefinite period. Settled here now and don’t intend going anywhere!
Tell us your greatest business or personal accomplishment?
Justin Parks: Business wise I think my greatest accomplishment (so far) was helping Craig Edmonds develop and deploy the Content Management System.
It has taken us several years of talking, adding, discussing some more, testing, testing again and breaking and fixing to get to the stage we are at, but it still amazes me when I review it what it can achieve today! It doesn’t look like it is going to stop at this point either, as the internet (and our clients) our continually demanding more advancements!
My greatest personal accomplishment is putting up with this over the last few years to see a result!
Why would you recommend the Costa del Sol for business and Lifestyle?
Justin Parks: Think about it. Skiing on the Sierra Nevada 2 hours east, the Atlantic 1 hour west, the Mediterranean 10 minutes south, great food, great weather and beaches.
That covers the lifestyle side anyway. Anyone who turns their nose up and that…well…enjoy the wind & rain.
From a Business point of view, there is great opportunity here to do a huge range of different jobs and business. All depends on what you like.
If you could change one thing about Spain, what would it be?
Justin Parks: Paperwork. Just the paperwork and the paper pushing. I hate bureaucracy.

Justin Parks: I am me.
What is your favourite Restaurant in Marbella?
Justin Parks: Tangitos is excellent. Great Argentinean Steak and a great atmosphere!
What is the last film you saw at the Cinema or DVD?
Justin Parks: Mad about Dog I think. Great show about Irish dog racing and a scam.
What advice would you give to someone moving to Spain?
Justin Parks: Learn the Language. Learn the Language. Learn the Language. That will honestly help you no matter what. Don’t be scared of the language and dive in. People will appreciate it if you at least try.
Name one other business you would recommend on the Costa del Sol and why?
Justin Parks: It would have to be Incredible Connections. They have always been available to us and we have referred numerous clients to them. Never have we been disappointed or received negative feedback.
