CW by Dreamers is presenting An Evening with Soul II Soul featuring Jazzie B and Caron Wheeler on the 28th of June at 9:30pm in Puerto Banus.

This definitely promises to be a fantastic evening of performances from Soul II Soul, one of the UK´s most innovative and exciting dance/R&B outfits from the 80´s.

Soul II Soul

Soul II Soul are renowned for creating seductively sexy, deep R&B mixed up with soul, disco, reggae, and old skool hip-hop. Their hypnotic rhythms are still played over 20 years later in clubs and homes throughout the world.

Originally featuring Jazzie B., producer/arranger Nellee Hooper, and instrumentalist Philip “Daddae” Harvey, the talented trio initially attracted attention as a sound system and started off playing records at house and street parties.

Founded by Jazzie B and featuring a changing variety of other urban musicians – notably Nellee Hooper, Simon Law, Phillip ‘Daddae’ Harvey and Caron Wheeler – Soul II Soul’s experiments in music-making resulted in the dub plate “Fairplay,” which secured them a recording contract with Virgin Records.

Soul II Soul went on to massive commercial success world wide in 1989 with their hit singles, featuring Caron Wheeler on vocals, “Keep on Movin'” and “Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)”, which topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks, and was the fifth best-selling single in the UK that year.
