One of the greatest song writers of all time, vocalist and guitarist Pablo Milanés will be performing at the Teatro Cervantes in Malaga on the 9th of July at 8pm accompanied by Dagoberto González on violin and keyboards and musical director, Miguel Nuñez, on piano.
About Pablo Milanés:
Pablo Milanés, a living Latin music legend and one of the most influential artists from Cuba, has, for over the last 40 years, produced an enormous quantity of hits.
As one of the most influential Latin music artists in history, he has sympathized with the Cuban regime for decades and social and political themes can be often found in his compositions from the late 70´s, which are still popular today.
Two-time Grammy winner, Pablo Milanés gained recognition for his highly poetic lyrics and smooth yet emotional singing, becoming one of the most popular and respected Cuban musicians and songwriters of the late 20th century. Along with Silvio Rodriguez, Pablo Milanes is the founder of the Cuban Nueva Trova movement that rose in Cuba during the 1960s.
His status is set in stone as one of the most important links between traditional and contemporary Cuban music and has remained virtually unbeatable.
“Pablo fills stadiums all over Latin America. When you talk about Pablo you talk about Cuba. He’s the maximum representation of Cuban music and culture.” – Hugo Cancio, longstanding promoter of Cuban music.
