Veteran English rock group, Asia, will be performing in Malaga on June 18th at Sala Paris 15 for the last date of their European tour.

The Early Days of Asia..

Asia first exploded onto the music scene over 30 years ago!

The band was labelled as a musical super-group as it included former members of several important progressive rock bands of the time such as John Wetton from King Crimson, Uriah Heep, U.K., Roxy Music and Wishbone Ash, Geoff Downes who played with Yes and The Buggles and Carl Palmer who played with Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

Throughout most of ’82, 2 years after Asia was formed, the group ruled the radio airwaves and the newly created MTV; selling out every tour date and winning almost every BEST NEW ACT award in the music industry!

Even though the music industry was in a massive slump that year, Asia was one of the year’s big exceptions and sold out their Album, Asia, worldwide. By the time the band released its second album, the debut album had sold over 7 million copies all over the world (with several top 10 hit singles) and was the best selling album in 1982 staying at the number one spot for an incredible 9 weeks!

The band continues to tour non-stop and the incredible success they started out with over 30 years ago keeps on growing even larger.
