A Saint Valentine Concert performed by Jazz. Daphne with Daphne Pelet will be held at Centro Cultural Villa de Nerja on Friday the 11th of February at 9pm.

About Daphne Pelet:

Jazz. Daphne is a group based on a fusion of themes ranging from Brazilian music to flamenco and jazz, headed by a fine and distinctive vocalist, Daphne Pelet.

Daphne Pelet studied singing at the University of Georgia in the United States and then went on to continue her studies at the Madrid School of Creative Music with Connie Philips.

Influenced by artists including Edith Piaf, Rachmaninoff, Ella Fitzgerald, Serrat, Billie Holiday, Carmina Burana, George Brassens, The Beatles and Charlie Parker, Daphne Pelet now works professionally as a soloist in jazz groups and in bands playing popular Brazilian music.

Perhaps it is the mixture of her French and Andalusian origins and the many years that she spent in the United States that have defined her interpretative style, one that has already made her an established part of the Malaga music scene.

The Daphne Pelet band now consists of a quintet that bases its repertoire in the field of Brazilian music, flamenco and jazz. The quintet is completed by Nicky Vargas, Manuel Olmo, Tony Romero and Ramon Barranquero.

The box office hours are open from Monday to Friday from 12pm to 2pm. You can also purchase tickets on the day of performance, 2 hours before the start of the concert.
