Jose Alarcon Exhibition at The Riogordo Galeria

The Riogordo Galeria, located between Casabemeja and Velez Malaga, is exhibiting the work of José Alarcon until October 31st. The exhibition is titled Views of Andalucia.

About Jose Alarcon and The Riogordo Galeria:

Jose Alarcon describes his painting as his hobby. Capturing the beauty and the simplicity of rural life here in Andalucia, he takes his inspiration from friends and local people.

Jose Alarcon works with oil paint on board but also enjoys painting on other surfaces, uniquely, for example on roof tiles.

His bold use of colour taken from the nature around him such as flowers and the patterns of fields makes this untrained artist a collectable one.

The Riogordo Galeria is situated in one of the oldest streets of Riogordo in an enchanting house surrounded by tradition and tranquillity.

The Gallery exhibits arts and crafts by Andalucian artists, some well know and some by exceptionally gifted individuals with no former training. Generally these artists come from Spain but others come from many parts of the world that all work and live in Andalucía.

Pieces on show include hand decorated glass wear, furniture, mosaics, jewellery and wall decoration as well as traditional and modern paintings and garden art!

Riogordo is a charming place to visit. As well as the Riogordo Galeria, take some time to enjoy the local bars and restaurants and the Andalucian hospitality of course!
