After 4 years of bringing top international figures (Max Romeo, Sizzla, Michael Rose, Buju Banton and Alborosie), the Marbella Reggae Festival is back again along the coast on Saturday, July 31, but as a special Anti-Crisis Edition. With economic crisis affecting the public and private sector, which affected all people, the organizers this time have made it free for all.
Waiting for better times, with intention of taking over the festival in the future with the same structure as before, the producers that organise it (Wadada Promotions and Slab Rockers) did not want the festival to die, and finally made a version of anti-crisis festival and therefore no entry fee.
It will now be staged at the Playa de el Cable Marbella with completely free entrance pass. People of all ages and backgrounds, both locals and tourists in Marbella, will get an exciting opportunity to enjoy Jamaican music.
The musical concert will offer 13 hours (starting from 17.00 h) of uninterrupted good reggae in all its styles (oldies, new roots, dub, dancehall …) as you dance with the best vibration of Jamaican music.
The idea that encompasses the 5th edition of Marbella Reggae Festival is the 1st meeting of selectors and sound systems of Andalusia, with the intention of showing the public that Marbella has a very healthy stage reggae. This edition will also have representative from Cádiz, Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Almeria and especially Malaga.
