Mijas Week of Cuisine – 20th Anniversary


The very popular Mijas Week of Cuisine has once again been organized by The Foreigners Department of the Mijas Town Hall which for the past 20 years (this year being the 20th anniversary) has brought together some of the best chefs from Malaga.

Because of such an achievement, a special tribute is being given to the Malaga Catering Schools and Institutions that have become the source of the new Malacitana cuisine. This 3 day event begins on the 24th and ends on the 26th November.

Mijas Week of Cuisine Programe:

Each day a specialised chef will prepare 3 dishes, step-by-step, in front of a large audience. After the demonstration the public has the opportunity to taste these prepared dishes.

The Mijas Town Hall is also organizing two special workshops; a cookery workshop which is held in the spectacular room, “The Magna Hall”, and a wine workshop which is being carried out by wine experts from some of the most important wine cellars in Spain. These wine experts will be preparing visuals on their installations and the making and production of their wines.

The Mijas Week Of Cuisine is an interactive and sharing experience, involving the public throughout the week. As well as enjoying the creative cuisine and the special wines, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the professionals.

Each talk and workshop is translated into English and Spanish.
