Following in the footsteps of the famous Factory 798 in Beijing, Meatpacking District in New York or Miami’s Design District, Poligono Festival helps the industrial area of Marbella to become an urban hotspot and a place of cultural exchange.
After the success of its first edition in 2010, with the attendance of more than 2,000 people, Poligono Gallery repeats the adventure while maintaining the urban edge and the coolness of the past year. This time the Poligono Gallery is delighted to invite you to the presentation of the second edition of Poligono Festival, a festival combining emerging art, music and flavor on the 1st and 2nd of October from 12:00 – 9pm.
With free entrance within the art section, the festival will present the exhibition “29 de Febrero Lo Que Existe Sin Ser Visto”, a reflection on the new emerging Spanish art through the eyes of 21 artists with a notable presence of Andalusian contemporary art.
The exhibition, taking place from the 1st of October until the 15th of December, has been curated by Fer Frances, an emerging curator from the same generation as most artists from the exhibition.
During the weekend there will be a performance of grafitti art. There will also be live music from various genres such as hip hop (Negroariel), reggae (Dale Gaucho), alternative music and DJ (Javier Martín, Pablo Barragan), and various collaborations and jam sessions. Attendees can enjoy Andalucian tapas and mojitos to celebrate the event.
