About Chicago:

Based on true events in Illinois in 1924, Chicago is a musical set in prohibition-era Chicago. The show is actually based on a 1926 play of the same name by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins about real criminals, crimes and corruption that she reported on.

Award winning musical Chicago is about murder, greed, corruption, exploitation, adultery and betrayal and tells the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who kills her lover when he threatens to leave. Desperate to avoid conviction, Roxie hires the most famous lawyer in town. The show goes on to tell a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz with superb show-stopping-songs and amazing choreography.

It is of no surprise that Chicago has been awarded with 6 Tony Awards, 2 Olivier Awards, and the prestigious Grammy and continues to amaze audiences all over the world.
