The Centro Cultural Provincial in Malaga brings you popular Danish Indie/Folk group, The Rumour Said Fire, on the 12th April from 8:30pm.
The Rumour Said Fire:
Formed in 2008 by singer, songwriter and guitarist Jesper Lidang, The Rumour Said Fire released their 4 song EP in 2009.
Although they are still a relatively new act, The Rumour Said Fire have already made quite a name for themselves on the Danish music scene with songs such as “Love for the Tortured” and the single that made them celebrities selling over 15,000 copies, “The Balcony”.
Compared with Simon & Garfunkel and Crosby, Stills & Nash, the 4 Danish lads are known as a peaceful and modest Indie band. In January 2010 they won Denmark´s P3 Gold Award. Nine months later, they released their successful debut album, The Arrogant.
Their musical influences include Dylan, Cohen,Crosby, Stills & Nash, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, John Lennon, Neutral Milk Hotel, Decemberists, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Simon & Garfunkel, Donovan, Sufjan Stevens, Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, Paul Simon and The Stone Roses.
