Romantic Seville – In collaboration with the foreigners department of the Mijas town hall and Costa del Sol News, a Culture Bus trip to Seville has been organised for the 24th and 25th February which includes Flamenco, the Barrio de Santa Cruz and Casa de Pilates.
About the Seville Culture Bus Trip:
This is a fantastic chance to enjoy a special Flamenco evening in the “Casa de la Memoria”, in the romantic Santa-Cruz-neighbourhood where students of one of the most famous Flamenco schools of Seville will perform. The performance takes place in a beautiful typical Andalusian patio and you will experience the pure, authentic and passionate form of flamenco music and dancing, performed by young talents of the city!
As one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, Seville had long ago been a cultural centre with the Phoenicians and Carthaginians settling there. Seville was later the setting for legendary personalities, among them the famous Don Juan and “Carmen”.
This fascinating city represents the heart of Andalucian culture and is the centre for bullfighting and flamenco.
The trip will give you the opportunity to discover the historic district of Santa-Cruz, with its beautiful plazas and narrow streets, on a guided walk through the neighbourhood. You will also visit the “Casa de Pilatos”, the Pilate’s house: a 16th century palace that is a mixture of Italian renaissance and Mudéjar Spanish styles and one of the most popular attractions in Seville.
