Black Box Theatre in Marbella presents A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

Black Box Theatre in Marbella presents their final show of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. This classic story full of family fun and entertainment will be performed on January the 2nd at midday.

A Christmas Carol, the first of the Christmas books written by Charles Dickens, was published in 1843 – suddenly conceived and written in only a few weeks. This famous story of redemption shows how the stingy and bitter Ebenezer Scrooge turns into a gentle and compassionate soul after he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future and still remains one of the most popular stories ever written in the English language.

Charles Dickens – Christmas Carol quotes:

“Darkness is cheap, and Scrooge liked it.” – Charles Dickens

“External heat and cold had little influence on Scrooge. No warmth could warm, no wintry weather chill him. No wind that blew was bitterer than he, no falling snow was more intent upon its purpose, no pelting rain less open to entreaty.” – Charles Dickens

“You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato. There’s more of gravy than of grave about you, whatever you are!” – Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens died of a stroke in 1870 and is buried at Westminster Abbey’s Poet’s Corner in London.
