Swedish painter, Elena Nevado, and Scottish artist, David Marshall, are exhibiting their works at the Casino Marbella in Puerto Banus from May 5th to June 7th every day from 8pm.

Elena Nevado

Elena Nevado was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and is based in Casares in Southern Spain, where she keeps her painting studio and breeds horses. Her art resembles the longing for the Native Americans, the American bald Eagles, the American Paints and Appaloosa horses but also her love for the Spanish Andalucian horses.

Sometimes the paintings may also show her life stories, dramas and heartbreaks made in strong colours of red, bronze and turquoise. She is currently showing her art at the Robert Germaux art gallery in Benahavis and SICAB Spanish Horse Fair in Sevilla.

David Marshall

David Marshall has always lived close to nature, first in Scotland and then on a farm in Spain. His creative impulses have come from observing the chaos and spatial organisation of natural forms; he combines this fascination with a recognition that no technical application can every compare with the original model.

To balance out today´s domination of technology and facile industrial repetition, his intention has been to create unique and unrepeatable pieces; employing artisan techniques and spontaneous, and at times accidental phenomena, resulting from the casting process which uses burn out molds, and employing natural materials with all their organic flaws.
