On the 3rd March at 8pm, British cellist, Natalie Clein, will be performing a recital at The Convent Ballroom in Gibraltar, accompanied on piano by Julius Drake.
Natalie Clein:
Natalie Clein first came to attention aged 16 when she won the BBC’s Young Musician of the Year and in the same year (1994) was the first ever British winner of the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians.
Her exceptional talent has earned her a number of prestigious awards including the Classical Brit Award for Young British Performer of 2005, the Ingrid zu Solms Cultur Preis at the 2003 Kronberg Academie and in 2008, she was nominated in the Classical Brits’ Best Female Artist category.
She is an extremely committed mentor of young talent and has worked extensively around the world with young musicians including giving frequent master-classes and leading educational workshops.
Making her concerto debut at the BBC Proms in 1997, Natalie Clein and has since performed as a soloist with all of the UK’s top orchestras.
