Conducted by the Municipal Social Welfare delegation under Marbella Town Hall, a three-day paddle tennis tournament, Torneo Padel, is underway at the Tennis Club and Paddle “El Mirador”. Scheduled for March 19-21, it falls in the agenda of “2010 Year Social Marbella”.

As declared, this is a charity event, whose profit will go to the “Asociación Crece de Marbella”, which is working for the care, stimulation and integration of children and adolescents with disabilities. The event will be attended by the delegate of Social Welfare, Manuel Cardenas and the president of the Association, Maria Luz Martinez.

Torneo Padel starts on Friday (19th March) from 17.00 to 22.00, while on Saturday (20th) it will start at 09.00 finishing at 22.00. Finally on Sunday 21st, it will commence at 10:00 and will close at 18.00 hours with the trophy presentation, which will be awarded by the Social Welfare Officer, Manuel Cárdenas and Mari Luz Martinez.

The association aims to encourage the integration of people with Down syndrome, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, delayed maturation, hyperactivity, developmental disorder (DAM, TEL, and TDAH), autism, adjustment problems and paraplegia among other conditions, assistance to encourage and advance the growth of the child, counseling to families and early learning.
