Dani Martin, famed vocalist from the award winning Spanish pop-rock group, El Canto del Loco, will be performing at the Auditorio Municipal de Málaga on the 28th January.

Dani Martin:

Dani Martin, born in 1977 in Madrid, has since early childhood liked to imitate his favourite singers which eventually led him to form his own band, El Canto del Loco, also known as ECDL.

After studying drama at the esteemed school of Cristina Rota, Dani Martin began a successful career in film, playing numerous parts in television and theatre including such roles as “Juancho’ in Yo soy la Juani, directed by Bigas Luna. He was also the star of the popular police television series Cuenta atrás in which he played an impulsive police chief inspector. The show went on for two seasons, however, eventually the series was not to be renewed as Dani Martin wanted to devote himself completely to El Canto del Loco.

For the last ten years, Dani Martin has combined a thriving acting career with fronting the very popular group El Canto del Loco. The last decade has been extremely busy for Dani Martin. Not only has El Canto del Loco released six studio albums and broken all records for CD sales, the band has also won countless prestigious awards including the MTV Best New Spanish Artist, Music Award for Best Tour and the exclusive European Grammy Awards.
