Juicy Fridays: About Chris Wallem & Laureano Astengo

Born and raised in Marbella, Spain but originally from Denmark, DJ CRISTAL aka Chris Wallem has always been into music from the very early age of 3 or 4, mostly into RnB, Soul, Blues and inspired by the music his parents were into.

He was given a set of turntables for his 14th birthday and thats when it all began. His influences include: James brown, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson & Jackson 5, Eric Clapton, BB King, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Kool & the Gang, A Tribe Called Quest….the list is endless…

Laureano Astengo discovered his passion for music at the tender age of 5, singing in his own band with his two brothers in South America. After selling over fifty thousand copies of his first album, his band played on with his last album, re-released in Chile some time later. His career as a singer finished when he had to leave his place of birth, Argentina, at the age of eleven.

Now in Marbella, since the beginning of 2009, he started his career as a DJ in Puerto Banus (Spain), playing r&b/hip-hop, and house music at places like, London Pub, Bogarts Banus, Mambo Club, and others. Now days, this very young deejay plays in some of the biggest discos in Malaga as well as Juicy Fridays!
