Marbella Trade Fair and Congress Centre (Palacio de Ferias, Congresos y Exposiciones) has announced to host a series of musical shows starting from May 7. Organised in collaboration with the municipal offices of citizenship and festivities, these performances will have free entry pass and will continue till May 27.
The show will take off with a tribute performance ‘Homenaje al Duo Arenal’ at around 2000 hours and it will be held in recognition to the career of Arenal Duo (Paco and Pedro) and his collaboration with different groups of Marbella on its 20th anniversary.
The next day on May 8 (Saturday), from 18:00, there will be a new concert for ‘Sabados Musicales’ (or Saturday Music), also with free entrance until full capacity. With the direction of composer Jose Luis Zafra, these concerts are linked to the ‘Concert of Classical Music-Family Fun’ (Concierto en Familia de Musica Clasica-Divertida) and are dedicated to all audiences with performances by young talents in classical music, which fall to participate in drawings of musical instruments.
Marbella Convention Centre will then on Friday, May 14, at 2100 hours, host the performance of ‘Pepe el Marismeno’. Accompanied by five musicians with piano, bass, percussion, two guitars and choir made up of two voices, Pepe will enthral the audience.
During his performance, Pepe will also present to the group ‘Konfusión’ with singer Fran Terren, the new generation artist from Andalusia. Ticket sales will be available in the English Court and the Palace itself in the coming days.
Finally, on Thursday, May 27, at 2100 hours, Russian pop singer Kristina Orbakaite, accompanied by the orchestra and show-ballet ‘Limita Extrim’ will perform. From here on, the pop star will be on a musical tour to Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia.
