Open de Andalucia – Golf in Malaga hosted by Miguel Angel Jimenez

Miguel Angel Jimenez is set to host Open de Andalucia, starting on the 24th of March, with the final to take place on the 27th at the Parador Malaga Golf.

This European Tour men’s professional golf tournament was played for the first time in 2007 and is held in the Andalusian region with International top golfers playing to win the 2011 title.

Miguel Angel Jimenez:

Born the fifth of seven brothers, Miguel Angel Jimenez got a late start into the game of golf and didn’t begin playing the sport until he was 15 years old. He was obviously a natural and quickly turned professional at the age of 18 in 1982.

Miguel Angel Jimenez enjoys repairing rather than driving high performance vehicles (like his red Ferrari) giving him the name “The Mechanic”!

“I’m here and I am what I am thanks to golf, and this is the way to return to my land what I have achieved in my 23 seasons on the European Tour.

The balance of the first four tournaments this season is good, I feel good physically and mentally and I’m hitting the ball well. My trainer travelled with me to the Emirates, last year, and we worked very well.

The dream is intact, and the bug of competition is alive and kicking. My objective remains the same: to enjoy what I do and, above all, live and enjoy the moment. “
