Seven Artists from The AIA-Group, coming from five different countries, will be exhibiting their work at Jinete, Carretera La Cala Golf in Mijas Costa from the 1st November to the 8th January. The exhibition is open seven days a week between 1pm and 9pm.

The AIA-Group artist exhibitors are Richard Wood, Elaine Carlton, Dolores & Roger Cummiskey, Karen Singh, Nalini Cook and Niki Marko.

About The AIA-Group exhibitors:

‘Richard Wood is a professional artist who paints in a representational style dramatic landscapes and architectural images in oil and watercolours.’

‘Elaine is a textile artist from England who takes her inspiration from her travels. She frequently works with natural fibres and fabrics and likes to incorporate recycled materials where ever possible.’

‘Roger Cummiskey paints in watercolour on themes and titles interpreted from the writings and wanderings of James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, Miguel de Cervantes and other Literary and Historical personages, as well as making abstract paintings in oil and acrylic.’

‘Dolores Cummiskey uses original hand stitched creations that take between three to six months to complete providing a peaceful and happy environment for your pleasure.’

‘Karen specializes in abstract fantasies and expressionist portraits in oils as well as collages.’

‘Nalini Cook use oils, acrylic and mixed media to evoke the rich colours of Indian and Mediterranean landscape. Layers of paint, ink, ochres and mixed media are combined and reformed to create texture and mood.’

‘Niki paints various aspects of life with her particular sense of humour. In her paintings there is speed, strong colours, and detailed portraits of humans and other creatures. ‘

The works on display cover a variety of subjects including oil paintings of Andalucía, collages of textiles in abstract form, gouache images, innovative figurative paintings, cross stitch and pure bold abstract paintings.
