Garrick by Tricicle! Another hilarious performance at the Teatro Cervantes in Malaga

GarrickTeatro Cervantes in Malaga are presenting the hilarious comedy Garrick performed by Tricicle. With Joan Gràcia, Paco Mir and Carles Sans and music by Pere Bardagi, the show is running from January 26-30.

About Garrick:

David Garrick was a well- known English actor in the 18th century, so unusually and hysterically funny that doctors of the time seriously recommended his performances as a type of magical remedy for their patients.

He was also extremely well educated in the classics and could speak Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian as well as reading and writing French fluently. It is true that David Garrick´s library was one of the largest in England!

Garrick died in London on January 20, 1779, just before he turned 62 and was buried in Poet’s Corner. David Garrick´s funeral was one of the grandest ever to be seen in London with mourners stretching all the way from Westminster Abbey back to the Strand.

Tricicle, which was formed in 1979 by Joan Gràcia, Paco Mir and Carles Sans, pays a hilarious tribute to David Garrick in the form of a spectacular-conference on the way humour works, insisting that the audience experiences on its own, the benefits of laughter.
