Guitarist Rafael Aguirre Miñarro wil be performing at the Teatro Las Lagunas in Mijas on the 5th November at 9pm.

About Rafael Aguirre Miñarro

Rafael Aguirre Miñarro, born in Malaga in 1984, began studying music at the age of seven at the Malaga Conservatory, where he attended numerous master classes meeting renowned guitarists such as Joaquin Clerch, Leo Brouwer, David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, Pavel Steidl, Marco Socias, Roberto Aussel, Costas Cotsiolis, Thomas Müller-Pering, Ricardo Gallen, Alex Garrobe, Alirio Diaz, Ivan Rijos and Jean Maurice Mourat.

When Miñarro was 16 years old he made his debut as a soloist with the Malaga Philharmonic Youth Orchestra where he finished with the highest marks, performing Concierto de Aranjuez.

During the course of his studies and due to his remarkable talent, Miñarro was able to learn from experts including Joaquin Clerch, Manuel Barrueco, Leo Brouwer, David Russell, Alirio Diaz and Roberto Aussel.

As an international musician, Rafael has had the opportunity to perform in countries such as Spain, Austria, Germany, France, USA, Netherlands, Syria, Portugal, Slovenia and Morocco, giving recitals in prestigious venues like the Teatro Manuel de Falla in Cadiz, the Tonhalle in Dusseldorf, the Instituto Cervantes in Munich, the prestigious International Festival of Ubeda, the Granada International Music Festival in Spain, Germany Niederhein Festival, the Festival of Rome Monterotondo, Hallein in Austria, Tucson, USA, Spain Julián Arcas and with orchestras including the Orchestra of Extremadira, Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchester des Theaters Pluen, Neue Philharmonie Wetfalen, Oruesta Syrian National Orchestra and the Little Andalucia.

Aguirre Miñarro is an artist whose deep understanding and gifted musical virtuosity defines him as one of the most versatile musicians of his generation.

Rafael now lives in Germany in the city of Dusseldorf.
