In an upcoming event, students from the Conservatorio Municipal de Música y Danza will perform at the Marbella City Theatre (Teatro Ciudad de Marbella) for three consecutive days starting from Wednesday, June 16.
Organised by the municipal Delegation of Culture, on three successive days of June, this event will feature some talented and budding young artists performing with piano, flute, clarinet and guitar in different performances taught under the course curriculum of the Municipal Conservatory of Music and Dance.
The programme will start at 20 hours on the scheduled days. On 16th June, Wednesday, students of Spanish Classical Dance courses will assemble under the title “Retratos en danza” (or Portraits in Dance) which is inspired by the works of the painter Julio Romero de Torres.
On Thursday 17th, students of different instrumental music courses will offer a recital of pieces of music learnt during the 2009-2010 academic year. Both students and the Singing Voice Choir will perform on Friday, June 18, with fragments of Mozart, Handel, Puccini, etc.
Admission is free, and invitations can be collected in advance from the counter of Marbella City Theatre.
